Michael Feldman is the Program Manager for the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative, responsible for leading the peer review effort for research proposals. Michael brings many years of policy, program management, and strategic leadership experience to his role. This is Michael’s second tour with Ocean Leadership, having previously spent eight years leading the U.S. National Committee of the Census of Marine Life.
Prior to joining Ocean Leadership, Michael worked as a consultant providing support for everything from contract allocation and budget management to operations development and meeting coordination. Previously, he led business development and sales for tech start-up, held a sales position with a textile manufacturer, and worked on a campaign for a New York congressman.
Michael graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Tufts University in Boston, Mass. When not at the office with his Ocean Leadership colleagues, he enjoys cooking, crossword puzzles, going to the park with his son, and rooting for his hometown New York Mets.
